Detection-time distribution for several quantum particles

چکیده

We address the question of how to compute probability distribution time at which a detector clicks in situation $n$ nonrelativistic quantum particles volume $\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Omega}}\ensuremath{\subset}{\mathbb{R}}^{3}$ physical space and detectors placed along boundary $\ensuremath{\partial}\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Omega}}$ $\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Omega}}$. previously [Tumulka, Ann. Phys. (NY) 442, 168910 (2022)] argued favor rule for one-particle case that involves Schr\"odinger equation with an absorbing condition on introduced by Werner; we call this ``absorbing rule.'' Here, describe natural extension $n$-particle case. A key element is that, upon detection event, wave function gets collapsed inserting detected position, detection, into function, thus yielding $n\ensuremath{-}1$ particles. also moving detectors.

Detection-time-bin-shift Schemes for Polarization Encoding Quantum Key Distribution System

Detection-time-bin-shift (DTBS) is a scheme that projects the measurement bases or measured photon values into detection time-bins and then time division multiplexes a single photon detector in a quantum key distribution (QKD) system. This scheme can simplify the structure of a QKD system, reduce its cost and overcome the security problems caused by the dead-time introduced self-correlation and...

Improved Eavesdropping Detection in Quantum Key Distribution

Employing the fundamental laws of quantum physics, Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) promises the unconditionally secure distribution of cryptographic keys. However, in practical realisations, a QKD protocol is only secure, when the quantum bit error rate introduced by an eavesdropper unavoidably exceeds the system error rate. This condition guarantees that an eavesdropper cannot disguise his pres...

Malmquist productivity index in several time periods

The Malmquist productivity index evaluates the productivity change of a decision making unit (DMU) between two time periods. In this current study, a method is proposed to compute the Malmquist productivity index in several time periods (from the first to the last periods) in data envelopment analysis (DEA) and then, the obtained Malmquist productivity index is compared with Malmquist produ...

Adaptive Quadrature Detection for Multicarrier Continuous-Variable Quantum Key Distribution

We propose the adaptive quadrature detection for multicarrier continuous-variable quantum key distribution (CVQKD). A multicarrier CVQKD scheme uses Gaussian subcarrier continuous variables for the information conveying and Gaussian sub-channels for the transmission. The proposed multicarrier detection scheme dynamically adapts to the subchannel conditions using a corresponding statistics which...
